Between the two, I prefer TPI due to the way you program the electronic speedometer with a ****on, not flip switches. I like the curved gl*** of Dolphins, just hate the logo on the face.
Are their any other guage manufacturers out there. I can only run 2 guages 3 3/8 Need electronic Speedo and fuel are the only ones .i have room for. They have to be the same size
I realize that there are many opinions regarding this subject. My experience is with Dolphin gauges. My 39 Ford has Dolphins with the mechanical speedometer. All instruments function perfectly. And the logo.....can't honestly say I love it. My A roadster has all S-W, but they were installed back in the late 50s. No experience with any other makes.
ABSOLUTE PIECES OF ****...........they dont even know how their gauges work or dont work.... i prefer auto meter, vdo or stewart warner in no particular order.
Haneline stock and manufacture all sorts of gauges www.haneline.com One of the best selections anywhere.
I have VDO and they work well. I got the gold rimmed ones and the finish on the rims didnt seem to hold out well. I planned to go with Cl***ic Instruments next, but now Im leary of them.
Dolphin has a cheesy look. I sold lots of SW, and Cl***ic with no issues but they ARE NOT the same quality of older guages. I would look at Haneline, or the new guy on the HAMB that I forget his name.......DOH! He does some neat stuff. Dirk, damnit, keep yer powder dry and watch yer topknot!
cant go wrong with vintage SW...i like the look of the greenlines personally..(or the older curved gl*** style)
