Well for the first time in over 20 years we didn't go down for the whole weekend.Just got back on Friday from a 7 week trip overseas that included driving Route 66 from Chicago to Needles and then a side trip to Vegas. We were happy to just be home and get unpacked. Went down for the morning on Sunday to check out the action.Seems like there were less cars but the quality was still good. This is an event that includes hot rods, cusoms and cl***ics including many non American models like Aussie GM and Ford cl***ics,English makes like Zephyr and Vauxhall. There is something for everyone.(Even the Goggomobile fans)
Thats not even half the amount of cars that were there on saturday. Maybe the morning rain scared them off.
The pictures are just a small selection.I guess that even on Sunday morning there would have been 800+ cars out on display.I started walking around about 7.30am and by 9am the crowds were very heavy particularly on Marine Pde and it is difficult to get a shot. Still one of my favourite events and will be back next year.
sorry about the head shots, weirdos bring out the worst in me I have more pic's of rides, do you want more pic's
wow. I'm suprised by how many HAMB friendly cars were there. Mostly the pics you see from wintersun are always stick on bullet hole specials. Thanks for posting the good un's lads.
OK, what are the little sporty roadsters with the grill in the boot? Looks like they have the herding instinct.
Any of you Aussies know Darrel Miller? He is from Surfers Paradise and originally started Wintersum. He's an old friend and if any of you know him please tell him that i said hello, Axle
Gogomobile Dart. Aussie creations if i remember. Similar to the Lightburn sport, Also an Aussie invention.
