Hey out there, Have a few old projects but just bought a '53 Customline 4 door with a Flathead and trying to learn a little more about it. Its running hot and so far I've found some great posts one how to cool it down. Thanx.
welcome from east texas fill ur up with water and tide soap let run till it gets hot let it cool and repeat flush flush and flush
Geophyguy is one of my best friends. If you think that 53 sedan is cool, you should see his 53 ford pu, or his 40 international pickup, or his virtually handmade triumph bobber, or the tons of other projects he's done. He's a good addition to the HAMB. Welcome aboard, buddy.
Hey thanks for the warm welcomes. If I can just figure out how to stop surfin this thing I work I might get something done.
Is that the guy who build the flatheads? Supposed to be a guy down the street from me that builds motors but I haven't meet him yet. I've only been here about 3 years and I'm usually hidin out in my shop.
Thanks for the welcome. Seems like I have way to many ambitions and no where near enough time to finish them much less any time to get out and socialize.
Peckerhead, I know Carol Hemphill. Gatesville is where I am originally from. Small world. LOL. Do you know Richard Shelton?
He"s just a old guy with a bunch of cars , most of which he paints metalic purple . I think he is driving a 35 - 39 ford pickup now , in original patina . Got a pasture full of junk cars .
About time you got on here paul. Also just fyi these guys on here "hambers" love the word "ratrod". Go ahead and make a few posts ***led rat and see the love you will get. seriously Great site with tons of info as you probably already know
I guess I've never meet Carol, I'll keep an eye out for him. Richard and his son have a few old cars. Couple of early 50's Stude trucks, '69 Camaro, a bright yellow '37ish plymouth truck, an "A" project. Never seen him in a Red & White Sedan though. He works as a tin bender and very talented.
I have seen the Plymoth truck at the Faunt Lee Roy park show put on by Cruzzin Cruzzers . Thats not the guy I was thinking of . Carol used to have something to do with the Gatesville water dept. , I think he is retired now .
