I am asking for all the help i can get on this one! I have a chance to get a 48 ford truck out of the hills for 400.00. This truck is clean and all the glass is good! Now all i need to know is if I can put this on a s-10 chassis?

yes it will work---makes a nice driver---rides good & handles.
you will need to shorten the frame a lil bit not a hard swap

  4. But why, if it's a complete truck???

It's your call, but it won't really be an old Ford anymore, just a rebodied S-10.

The S-10 will work and will be the econominal most updated suspinion you can buy in my opinion for the money spent. I have a 36 Chevy with a Mustang II front which I have alot more in money than I could have bought a complete S-10 parts truck for, even though the S-10 would not work under the 36. I am also building a 40 Ford pickup and I am mounting it on a S-10 chassis bought a complete S-10 truck for $350.00 A frind mounted his 40 Ford pickup on a S-10 and used S-10 fire wall, floor pan, brake booster, gas tank, etc. rides and drives like a S-10 with 40 pickup sheet metal.

  6. I am not trying to be a jerk but If you want an s 10 build a s 10, 48 to 50 f1s have pretty nice chassis, I have had them for dailys,

    just my opinion though.

  7. lookin like the HAMB has become the home of the traditional S10 frame swap!
