alright so heres the scoop. im a 17 year old who has a p***ion for old iron of all kinds. i really want to customize cars for my lifes work, but i know you have to get started at the bottom. i live in bothell, its near lynwood/bellevue/woodinville, north of seattle a little ways. i have two questions, are there any kustom clubs around here? second question, im lookin for work, but more im just looking for a place to go an learn, if i could get paid then all the better. i have mild experience with body work and other things, but like i said im a young eager mind who just plain loves old cars. so if anyone is from around here and might want to make a friend. let me know my names jake thanks
there are a few Clubs around...but mainly more Hotrod oriented. And there isnt anything wrong with that.... its just that there arent as many customs as the are hotrods around... You are in good company in the northend bro, theres some cool guys up there. Wanna learn grinding/filler/SANDING on my 54?
Hi Jake, I don't have job for you, but I do give metal-shaping/metal-finishing, and gas-welding lessons if you are interested. $50 for a two hour lesson. These skills might help you get a job later. You can see some of my work by going to my web site and clicking on "my latest work" John www.ghiaspecialties.com Seattle ghiafab@msn.com
Jake, you have a good at***ude. Keep at it and you will find something. John, I am interested in getting some schooling. I'll email you.
watch out for the coffins, iif they like you you have to prospect for a year, and bartend naked in their club house, and guard their cars at shows.......just a rumor watch out for rich the kid aka chopper hes got a knife
There's good folks around to learn from. K-Member, his father, and a bunch of the guys who keep them company know what's up. JKustom is probably one of the nicest young guys I've met (don't tell him I said that). Just get to a show or something and meet some of these fellas. It'll roll from there.
thanks a bunch you guys. ill pm some people. i go to alot of shows but i dont really know who to talk to..? i know winter is rollin around, but are there any more shows comin up before all the rods/kustoms go into hibernation? thanks again
you can learn from me, for free..... im in kirkland. we always need people to sand, and turn wrenches. oh yea, im chopper, and i do have a knife.
the real hotrods dont go into hibernation around here! One guy in the coffins drives a beater model A coupe with no fenders or hood or even windows year round! rain or shine.... -J.
