They may not meet the strictest deffinition of "traditional" but there's no doubt Falcons got *****.I'm trying to put the parts together for my next project and need some advise from someone more knowledgeable then myself (nearly anyone) I found a 61 tudor that has potential w/managable rust and a stick ******. I also have the 260 from my 63 sprint conv. (auto) i have located a 3 spd all-syncro and appropriate bell-housing as well as an NOS Mr. GASket shifter. I'd like to bring them all together. Will the ****** fit my limited tunnel/ will the clutch linkage match up. What specific parts (numbers) do I need to convert the eng. to stick? Thanks [ QUOTE ] ther are some things they didn't tell me when I joined this *********** outfit [/ QUOTE ]
i replied to your cl***ified with some advice. an intro psot would be a good idea here. and your other post, "and now THIS" isn't really hamb material. but, on to the topic, that ****** should fit fine. but i would reccoment a t-5 for some serious driveability over that 3 speed. not much more work. is it a stick or auto car to start with?
Sorry for going outside the box, but for me there aren't alot of such limitations, I will however try to behave(personality disorder?) I am way into rod's but to be honest I also have a slammed 2003 Accord V6 and all manner of fun stuff, loosen up and have some fun cause take it from someone who's walked REAL close to the other side it ain't that far away. As for the 5-speed(traditional?) in this instance I'm looking for a seriously funky type o short, Cheap sleezy, and fun, My 63 sprint hardtop ought to get me there with proper dispatch and the project that follows the tudor is a 63 Sprint convertible, 347 AOD 9 inch etc.I pride myself in having eclectic taste. You sould see my music collection. [ QUOTE ] We're all just dust in the wind [/ QUOTE ]
Oh yeah Stick, Thanks for the info re fitment. [ QUOTE ] Say something once, why say it again? [/ QUOTE ]
I have a friend that recently bought a 63 falcon with a stoch 260 with 3 speed,it now has straight side pipes,hydraulics,13" supremes and I welded a long bar on the floor shifter with a huge skull,I love kruisin in that kar, maybe I can get some pics & you tell if it's traditional or not,I also have friend with a 61 that is chopped, suicide doors & trunk, buick grill etc..
I called my 63 Sprint convertable "The Falconator Eliminator"...! Fun car until both doors were opened at the same time..., "Then It folded in half"... ! Friggen Wisconsin road salt had rusted the frame and floor to the point of collapse... ! Funny thing is that the body looked great...! Mark
Any pic's of the 63 sprint conv? I used to have a baby blue one, The V6 was cool, It's like a little puppy fun to play with.
