Does anyone know if the swap spaces actually sell out to the point that they turn away people. I'm thinking about driving down from San Francisco with some parts to sell but I won't be able to leave until Fiday night. Hate to get there and not be able to get in. I'd be stuck babysitting a truckload of parts. I wouldn't get to sell my parts or enjoy the show. Their website says 'Most' spaces sell out Friday, with people lining up to get in on Thursday night. How many are left on Sat and how quick do those go? Should I even try?
They did add a row or two more to the swap area last year...so there were plenty empty spaces on Saturday. But gas was close to $5 a gallon last year too...so that may have kept people away. I'm planning to be there by noon on Friday and hope to get a couple of spaces. Neal
The past few years, there has been plenty of space available and I wouldn't think this year would be any different. They've expanded the swap meet space significantly.
Check the LA Roadsters web site, there should be a phone number for info. The club makes every effort to accommodate sellers and provides space for all. But talk to a live person for info regarding swap spaces for late arrivals. The FOGGER
Is there a different section for 'CARS FOR SALE' thinking about heading down there myself with my Mercury!
There is a section for cars and it puts you right in the middle of both the roadster show and the swap on the other side of the fence.I heard they are having a traditional hotrod show on Sunday in the swap area, might be interesting.
In either specialty parking or the swap area- you can sell a car. Hell- you can sell a car inside- as long as it's a roadster. In my experience- it's the best place to buy-sell-trade a car in So Cal. Even better than the Pomona swap meet. I know- I've bought 2 cars there & sold 3.
if its like last year , you cannot leave after 4pm Friday, so decide if you need to be in or out before then, Beaulieu
Two years ago, I was in line with my trailer on Friday morning and got set up fine. Seemed to be rather full Saturday, but there was still a little room left. I was against the fence by the locomotive. Got back Sunday morning early and I was the only one left with in about 6 spaces either side, and the row across was empty. Sold the roadster on Sunday, though.
