I have recently found out that vapor lock can occur in the bowls of the 97s. I have changed metal fuel lines to rubber ones also installed new fuel pump. I routed all fuel lines away from block and intake manifold. I guess my question is if the problem is in the fuel bowls what is the solution for that......Thanks for any help

Don't really see how you can have vapor -lock in the fuel bowls as they are open [vented to the atmosphere] . Vapor-lock is fuel turning to a vaporous state in a closed area ie inside a line or fuelpump . Automotive fuelpumps are not designed to pump anything but a liquid. But a carb bowl Can get hot enough to boil the fuel out of it,usually after shutting off a hot engine. Insulating blocks between carb and manifold help for this.
