I plan on making this as much of a daily driver as i can..so nothing radical. I' striping it to a roller now.I got a doner Camaro for drivetrain and brakes and whatever else that catches my eye but nothing cheesy.
They have 2 nice styles,$35 more rounded edges and $65 more square edges, there textured white fiberglass bottoms and backs which is good so when someone kicks em gettin in or out they just wipe off...the material is marine grade white vinyl that has the rolled look and since I'm not goin to run a top for a while I can fold em down and they even have a strap that snaps to keep it from unfolding. There pretty comfy I sat on one in the store for a while..(got some weirdo looks from customers). They sell the swivel brackets seperate (bassboat style)but they have to be shortened by like 4".I'll get a pic of em and post it when I get a chance.
hell, go on Ebay and type " boat seats" and look at all the different styles and colors, wrap around, arm rests arm rests with drink holders...all for a hell of alot cheaper than automotive seats or the ever popular overpriced bomber seats....
Well probably not to many remember this post from years ago !!! But its about time I bring it back!! Its been a long road for this build. As a bike builder I thought this task would be fairly challenging but boy was I wrong. After messing with it for over 2 years it was almost at the point of selling it as a project but I have to much pride. So I got in touch with a great group of guys. Beachside Fabrication/Imperial customs in the Daytona area. In roughly a year the got my car and I back on track. This is it today. Very little has to be done before its stripped, painted, polished and final assembly. This is my version of a Hot rod. Its my car and I'm going to try my hardest to drive the hell out of it and keep it as long as I can. Enough of the sob story. This rolls on a Johnson garage z'd model A frame.4" chop and channel. 383 storker motor/700r4 trans from a Camaro. Narrowed 9" rear end out of a van. Yes I do have a rear set of steelies so I don't rip the spokes outta these !!! enjoy
Wow man you nailed the perfect look for a tudor. I think the ONLY thing I object to is the size of the rear tires. Something a little bigger would pull better proportions. Fucking cool sedan though!
Thanks Suede, I always liked skinny's on rods. When its ready to play I got some nice slicks for the back !!! Thanks to Hank Young for the tires.
