Took my Ha/Gr gasrail to the "Legends of Drag Racing" at Union Grove, WI this wk-end. Did new personal best at 12:21et at 110 mph. Wild racing with fuel altered, front engine top fuel & g***ers. Joe Mondello(Mr. Head Porting) came to our pit looking at our Flathead Ford, of course this is where he started. He spent alot of time with us, a true gentlemen. At least 4 California nastalgia Funny cars there. Met alot of fine people there, the crowd really like the Ha/Gr cars.

Hey Man, let us know ahead of time, when you are going out to an event like this. There are some guys up your way that are interested in these rails. It's good to see you've got that Flatty runnig so hard.

It was a last min. decision, the web site said no timed run or test &tune all wk-end, so we were unsure if we could run or not. But we were able to run every round as exhibition, crowd was really into the car, was quite fun.

2b, there were some guys building up in your neck of the woods. Are they still building? It should be summer up there and the fever should take over to build or complete the project. Are you coming to Tulsa for the 2 day meet in July? Sorry for all the questions but we miss you guys. :D Roy

    2b,

Sounds like you have your digger running pretty good. Are you going to make the big nostalgia event here in Kansas City in September. I'm trying to get as many HA/Gr cars as possible. The event last fall was very good. Roy Merritt (348chevy) and Bob Hindman came and we had a great weekend.

Roy, I haven't seen much action with the new builds, most are busy with street builds. We do plan to come to Tulsa for the July event, where do you stay when you go there. We don't have a room yet?? Looking forward to seeing you again also!!!

    Ron,
What is the date & starting time for first day of it, we can then figure out arrival time? Labor day is the Old Time drags at Union Grove, Wi, we will do that for sure. We could make that if fuel doesn't hit the roof again this summer!!!

    2b, Guys,

Sept 11.12,13. They usually fit the HA/GR cars in 3 times during the day. If we had more cars I'm sure we could run more often. I'd like to get a firm commitment from the HA/GR cars so I can contact the people organizing it and get the HA/GR cars put on the flyer. We also got in free and had a designated pit area for the entire weekend.

If you like nostalgia racing this event rivals Beach Bend for action and the quan***y and quality of the cars.
