My wife see's dollar signs when I drag some of this stuff home. It's the stuff I say I 'm keeping that gets her blood boiling sometimes. Raining right now, so I'm not sure if I'll be going after it today or not? It's nosed into a tree line on the back side of a field.

I'd bring the whole thing home, if you have space for it (I know it's huge with the box and all). And who know's what's in the back. There might be someone that wants the truck whole. Couldn't you just put modern axles under the stock frame?
It seems like every time I've brought just a part of something home I wish later I had taken it all. Doesn't seem like getting it all would cost more unless the guy is determined to s**** some of it.....

Problem is, there are no rear wheels, and the rearend is sunk into the dirt to the top of the housing, the front axle also is in the ground to the center of the hubs, and wheels but no tires. Also all I have is a 03 Ford ranger and a single axle trailer. Do the math, if I hire the equipment I need to get the whole thing, then it's not so Free anymore. Heading out there in a little bit to see if I can get to it or not, we had lots of rain last night.

Nice find Rusty but I would expect no less, you find all the old iron. I'll have to come by and check it all out.

how far is it from your place. If its close you might get someone to tow it for around $75. You could cut the frame up and get way more than that for s**** is you wanted to

    Cool score. It's a '41...not a '40.

    40 COE's had an oval grille...kinda like a 38-39 pickup.
