I had a set way back in the day....bought them new......for my 283 SBC
Just about the worse part I ever bought new...

    Leaked.......BAD....
and you could not see anything with the oil on the inside.
I did run a dark oil. After a few months the valve covers turned cloudy.
even with NO OIL on them.

I see them on eBay every now and then......and go cheap..

    :)

HELLO - I have a set for a small block chev new old stock in the box made by Mr. Gasket and they were called Kleer Vue! Had them for many many years! Neat to look at including the box. I don't think I wish to sell them and I don't have the courage to put them on any of my Chevys. I believe that with today's newest gaskets, they would not leak! Most of the bad talk about them was probably yesteryear's old style gaskets and also people that never changed their oil!

  10. I have a thermoforming machine big enough to do a pair out of thick, clear PVC, just form them over a pair of script covers... Maybe I'll make up a few pair...

You could use them at shows when the car isn't going to be running, switch them out at the end of the day and not get any oil in them.... But does anybody have any really AWESOME (non-billet) rocker arms and springs they want to show off?

    Idano...

I also have a set of NOS Mr Gasket clear valave covers. Sorry they are not for sale. Had a buddy that had a set in the early 70s solid cam roller rockers looked cool as hell when running and with the solid cam NOISEY
