The new Barris Book "The Art of George Barris", by the guys who brought you "The Art of Von Dutch" and "The Art of Ed Roth". We are looking for a couple writers for the toys/ models section of the book. You would have to have knowledge of the toys and models made by George Barris, or be able to do the research involved for this large section of the book. It is an exciting chapter of the book. It would be great if you had any of the old models, toys, packaging, adverti*****ts or had access to such items. Though we do have a some of the product, we are still missing allot and some of the stuff we have is damaged. We are paying the going rate. We are also looking for someone who can write about the mini-bikes and go-karts that George made as well. Please contact Brett Barris @ bbarris@verizon.net Cheers, Brett Barris

Iwould send this request over to http://www.scaleautomag.com/sca/default.aspx and ask for Tim Boyd. He is the best when it comes to writing about model and toy history.
Thanks man... I did some research and his name keeps poppin up. I will definitely contact him. Cheers, Brett
I'd be happy to. By the way, you owe me $27.49 for this post so far...... Just kidding...I couldn't resist! This Boyd fellow sounds like he has at least one important qualification; he knows the subject and there is a published body of his work. (Yes. I know I just listed two. That's what "at least one" means in my book) I'd like to, but I have the work habits of Hunter S. Thompson, but without any writing to go along with that. It would end ugly. -90% Jimmy HUMOR PURPOSES ONLY. I have great respect for your subject and the other books you mention.
Cole ****ce is on the HAMB. He's absolutely the best writer I know! Especially about historical nitro stuff. He's writeen full blown BOOKS with covers and forwards and library of congress numbers and everything! -90% Jimmy
