Good to see your defination of fininshed includes shinny paint and an interior. Nice old "finished" truck.
Thanks, the color is actually Black saphire metalic. ( a super dark blue black) We built a set of horns for the hood, but my customer's girlfriend said "no". As for the cowpoke theme, what else would you expect from a redneck FNG anyway?...
Getting the V8 and automatic in there, and fitting everything, was a challenge with the customer specified stock front axle. I had to get creative with the exhaust, a right side 56 car manifold flipped to the left side was just about the only way to get it done. An 86 truck rearend, and drilled axles and drums for six lugs, made it drive. The power drum conversion was chocked full of headaches, even though it is supposed to be "simple." Almost everything on this heffer was hand fabricated. I hated the guages, but the budget was the override. The vintage air, was a joke at best, but I did the best to make it flow. All in all, I'm pleased with the end results, we ***embled this thing in about three weeks...
I really like the color and how deep the shine is . I wouldn't have taken a good gun and done that ! But that's TEXAS ! I will ***ume this is for a Holstein Rancher . Very nice touch with the cowhide ! It is really a nice looking truck !
Thanks for looking at the shine, the way that very few others can look at something. You have perspective. (and my respect) The handgun was an 1856 Owl head (Scolfield patent) It also had been plated, and re****neld countless times. ( it also had a bent frame, deamed unrepaireble,by our local gunsmith) I could have fixed it and shot it, but The truck needed it more...
