22nd Annual Gunnison Colorado Car Show

I'm gonna try really hard to have my A coupe chopped and back on the road for it, but I can always drive the merc if I don't get it pulled together. Aug 21 will be here before we know it so I better get to work.

Curt, glad you're coming up, that Edselero is so cool, will be a great addition to the field.

Ran into our club president yesterday, looks like registration is ahead of schedule. Also, have had some inquirys from clubs, looks like a few are making our show a club event/run. All indicators are pointing to a great time, hopefully, lots of HAMB'ers will be here for the fun.

Again, don't be shy with the questions, have been answering lots of PM's.

Cant wait to breathe that clean air. If you havent been to this show, you need to make an effort. Club puts on a great show and the friday night cruise downtown is great. The music is always good and the town pretty much opens up for the cars. Johnnie's party is a must attend for the "invited"!! I cant wait to eat at The W. Chicken fried steak and eggs!!!!

 

A couple of months and counting. This is shaping up to be one hell of a show. Great cars, uhh,ahh,hmm, great entertainment , and hangin with a great bunch of guys with their cold beers....what else could ya ask for ?!?!?

 

MAN am I looking forward to the Gunnison Car Show weekend! Lindsay and I have already booked our room at the Western Hotel right on East Tomichi. It's kitschy but clean! I'm definitely driving the Stude, and Lindsay MAY drive her Imperial if we can score some new tires before then... See you all there!!!

That would be great if Lindsay brought "Judy" up to the show. That car looks like it's 40 ft. long ! Glad to know you guys are coming.

Just heard from the band "The Mezcal Brothers", they are excited to be playing our show. If you have never had the chance to hear them you are in for a real treat ! Those boys will definately keep Main St. hoppin' Friday evening.

Very competent musicians who play lots of original music, lots of Buddy Holly, and just great entertainers. Their stage presence is fabulous !

what size tires? Jack D has some big honkin coker classics that are almost brand new that he took off his new truck.

we'll be there again this year. don't know what ride(s) we'll bring, i guess whatever runs!

 

Well, Lindsay (or I should say her dad...) just scored some bias-ply wide whites for her Imperial, so it's looking more and more like she might be able to drive to Gunnison herself! Now we just need to make sure all other systems are go! Time's going by fast, and the big show's just around the corner! See you all there!

 

Dude, that's SO weird! I just posted about Lindsay scoring those wide whites and then I saw YOUR post afterwards! Yep, those are the exact tires her dad picked up. Thanks all the same, Ray! We'll see you and Angie up there!

If your anywhere near Colorado during this event, make time to go!!!! I went to the show in 2007 right after Bonneville and put my roadster in the show with the salt still on it. The host club was kind enough to give it their "KingPin" award. It was GREAT!

Johnnies Party is ALWAYS a great time as well!

 

Hotware -I remember your roadster, that was the coolest fuckin car there.
