On my way home from work yestorday i ran across an old place. I can't believe I never seen this place till now but what it is its like an old ford museum with a coffe shop and vintage parts all in one building. Its a real nice place to go for a coffe and see some of the stuff they have. The place is on 2484 Mercantile Dr Rancho Cordova, CA 95742, If you're a ford fan in sac you should stop by there sometimes. Its a real neat place. They also have car shows there evrey once in a while.
welcome to sacramento vintage ford. The place RULES, and the owners are a VERY good family and deserve your business. i find myself just wandering around aimlessly in there from time to time.
I know its so friendly, I just cat believe I've been working next to it all this time and i have never seen it till now
It's a nice place..The 26th is their first of the year gathering of Hot Rods, etc..Good time and lots of interesting people. Duane.
I have friends in Folsom and had to visit Sac Vintage Ford when I was last there. Even bought me a cool banger t-shirt. Cool shop, cooler people working the place!!
we droped "my cause dangerious" off there last week its on display! and darel is one hell of a grate guy he runs the place!
You make me laugh everytime with these stupid threads you start . Everytime you open your eyes and see something or have a question that the search function can answer you post a damn thread about it. Please use the SEARCH function on the toolbar or maybe google can answer your question without wasting my and others time with BS like this. I corrected your spelling for you too this time. At least your getting better with it and your grammar since you signed up .-Weeks
Oooh, somebody needs a tickle. Hope you guys are friends, because otherwise, you're just plain mean. I thinks it is fine for someone to post their discoveries. If you've known about it for years, just smile benignly and enjoy that they've made the discovery, too. As for SVF, never been there, but they have a great and informative catalog and seem like really good folks. Hope to get there myself some day.
last time I was there, they took a photo of my 48 ford and put it inside the back cover of their catalog.
anyone know the owner by any chance. Im trying to get hooked up with a job there over summer. PM me if you do
Yeah, go in there and ask for Derold. I don't know his last name but that'll get him out of hiding. HA! How many "Darolds" could there be? He's super cool, good sense of humor too, unlike that "Weeks46" guy out there in "Bakertucky". Pfff, lame.....
If you're gonna talk **** check your spelling and grammer. I think what you wanted to say was "At least you're getting better". As in you are. Jeeesh, some people
WTF...I live in Georgia and would never know about cool places like this if someone never posted about them. Neat stuff to read about how companies across the country promote business, and support customers, through recognition of achievement.
Hey Weeks46, do you know what's a waste of time? Yeah, buddy you do...reading you rip somebody. Just keep scrolling past something you don't happen to like and save us all from you're misdirected anger. You have a bad F'n at***ude gr***hopper, take it down the road.
Yup. What Rick said. I love that place. I Do a lot of business with them. Now because of your post, more people will also. THANKS FOR POSTING!
Where is GERM's crazy *** rants when we need them to bash or exploit the idiosyncrasies of the people who post a new damn thread everytime they have a question. Yes I am frustrated with this constant new thread everytime I have a question ****. Read his previous posts people if you want to see why I am bashing the posts that generally permeate the board from this guy. Whines about working in a machine shop and hates his boss. I have worked many jobs and a machine shop is one of these and it is cake compared to working in the oilfields. He has been fishing on the HAMB for a new job at any shop around him. You guys jump to defend I am only pointing out that I dislike this mentality. Yes Sacramento Vintage Ford is a great shop/store/source for information but anybody looking for parts for a vintage ford will quickly be directed to them or another source that is just as great. I am through trying to get my point across because I feel my .02 has been heard enough concerning this guy. Those of you defending him PROPS to you for being so kind to him. I am glad there are HAMBers like you all out there. As my last thought on this if "you are" reading guitarguy you and I both have alot to learn still, SEARCH first. Be happy that the HAMB is such a non-rosecolored gl***es place to learn then it used to be. The flaming would be much more intense then my little rant.-Weeks
Darold Kohout is the owner, but his son Mike Kohout is who you want to talk to. He probably won't go for a summer job though, he likes to keep his employees long term because of all the training involved for being on the counter. You can reach him at (916) 853-2244. Both are great guys and it is really a good place to work. You will learn more about Fords than you ever wanted to know. I warn you though, that have what is called , "paycheck deduction." This allows you to buy parts are get the amount taken away from your check. So, you can blow your check on parts before you even earn the money! If you are as bad at budgeting as me, be careful!! -drZ (2-1/2 year veteran of the SVF parts counter)
You no lika da thread, you no open da thread, then you and us both be happier. BTW, my wife usta have you kinda at***ood every 28 days for some reason...
Awesome place and great mail order also. I have ordered parts on Monday morning many times and had them waiting for me when I got home on Tuesday.chuck
