I thought you guys might be interested in what's going on in Sweden during the summer of 2009... Starting up with some photos from a car show/party held by the dudes at Lowbrow Magazine! 18 hours before the show...yeah he made it. My wagon ready to hit the streets...(the red Galaxie is also mine) Some nice cars at the show... Awesome bike... We left the show and parked the cars outside my girlfriends house... We gathered around 20 friends & got drunk... Heading home to Stockholm...
WOW! Pretty sweet cars. I really dig your wagon. I also really like the black 1928-29 A coupe and the blue convertible. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
Thanks. Me & the dude who built/owns that model A are in the same club (Demented CC). The blue 59 Buick convertible belongs to my good friend david. No, there weren't that many rods at the show AND i didn't snap as many pictures as i use to... Here's some rods for you though. These pictures where taken in the Swedish town Västerås some weeks ago at a car show for Fords from 1923 to 1953 only...
Hope you don't mind me posting a few more pics from the Lowbrow show here on your thread Dementedstefan!
Great pics. Have to admire you guys. Must be f*cking expensive to maintain American cars over there. SWEDS rock! _______________________________________________________________________ Like I told the kid, "Your music's not too loud, it's just like OKC, it ****s!"
Fantasic looking collection of cars. If I wanted to visit Sweden for just one show, which one would you recommend?
Then you must visit Power Big Meet in Västerås, Sweden. Biggest car meet in Europe. It have it all. Customs, muscle, hot rods, lowriders, original and drunk people... Over 10.000 cars and almost just US cars.
As O.K.E. said, the A-bombers OSW held in Uddevalla is perhaps the most HAMB friendly show regarding the cars and the overall feeling of the show (traditionals, kustoms, rods, bobbers etc.) http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=200428&highlight=sweden But if you just want to see a lot of american cars, muscles, originals, kustoms, rods, street rods etc, you name it. Then the Power Big Meet weekend is the largest show around. And if you go to the PBM be sure to visit the CKOS (Custom Kempfs Of Sweden) gathering during the same weekend that is just in the vicinity of the PBM. http://www.ckos.org/ http://www.bigmeet.com/ But there is a ton of other car events during the whole summer aswell, but I guess this are the ones that stand out the most.
Thanks guys, I'd love to do the A-bombers. There used to be a ferry from the UK direct to Sweden but I'm pretty sure it doesn't run anymore....it means I'm looking at one major drive

This is wild but do you have any pictures of that Dark Cherry Red bike plate # CLT 297 in the background ? That's looks like my old bike I sold back in the 80's . I wondered about that bike for years and I'm 99.9 % that's it (I can post some pictures of it when I owned it) . Thanks ****
Man, that chopped 50 Injun is beaudiiiful......it IS a 50 right? Some nice rides there too... I love it !! Rat
Post#1, set of pictures the light green (?) HD Panhead with the stock springer frontend. Above the frontwheel slightly to the right you'll see the license plate CLT 297. That looks like my old bike, any pictures please post. Thanks ****
Wow Stefan, Sweden isn't just hot chicks and mediocre hockey players..... Like I said before, I can't believe how much Sweden looks like BC. You have some great cars in your club! Keep the pictures coming!
OK, I have to admit that I am half Danish, but still, you Swedes really rock! Very cool cars....these could have been California in the '40s or 50's, very well done!!
Broke****: Aha, sorry i didn't shoot any more pictures of that bike. BUT if you buy a copy of Lowbrow Magazine #4 you can read all about it...it's in swedish though so i guess you'll have some trouble understanding the article. www.lowbrowmag.com
Stovebolt: I've never been to Canada but i guess it's beatiful if it looks like Sweden Thanks, some of the dudes in the club (Demented cc) got some really awesome projects going on...bikes, hot rods, customs...
