Several years ago I posted a few videos and links of a Panther tank we had about finished at my work. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=228797&highlight=maybach We've recently completed the Panther http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KauAxwx-MpU I work for the Military Vehicle Technology foundation which is located in Portola Valley about 30 minutes north of San Jose. We have one of the largest collections of armored vehicles in the world and have recently begun offering more tours. If anyone is interested I'll be giving a tour of our museum and shop facility on June 27th. If you are interested PM me your e-mail address and I will send you an information sheet. DAVE
Good video. We get two different TV shows here one on an english crew that rebuilds old tanks and one about tank warfare. Good shows. Panzer looks good is is panzer or panther?
The video is of a Panther. All of the German tanks were panzers, panzer is short for "Panzerkampfwagen" which basically means tank. The Panther is the mid size tank that weighs about 45 tons. The Tiger tanks were in the 60 ton range with the same engine! DAVE
Bringing this back to the top, I still have some openings for next Saturday's tour. If anybody is interested send me a PM and I'll send you the info. Dave
