Event Coverage Getting together (Quad Cities) to tear down an A chassis! BBQ

Ok so Im getting ready to put the ol crib on the market, well I have this Model A ch***is I need to get torn down, what better excuse do I have to invite a bunch of guys over, knock back a few cold ones and wrench on something.

I have Thurs/Sat off this coming week. Let me know what you think would work best.

I'll provide food and the beverages for the most part.

We didn't have Ink N Iron here in IA so lets have a little get together and maybe we can put some more faces to names from here..

haha. I will be making plans. But we are going on a trip to Cabo again in Oct/Nov to kind of have a 2nd honeymoon, but bringing some friends to party with

whenever you want man. I have made the whole day open so we can do this and hang out. If you have a transportable torch (O/A setup) can you bring it. Im thinking a torch will really help. I do plan on having to cut off some stuff..

Ok so lets figure out the time thing. My wife wants to know when she should have the beer on ice!

I also just brought home 21 lbs of brats, I have burgers already and 10lbs of deer sticks.. Finally got my deer processed.

And I do plan on having something else later for the folks that don't make it this time, but Im looking to move houses so it will just be at a local park or something. The QC has a lot to offer and since I'll be there, NO TROUBLE!!!

could be a part deux after I move, and I am not friends with Randy any more. We parted paths about a year ago.

And if your coming, sound off with what time and who's coming with, Im trying to decide how much beer to buy for the day. I don't want to have to transfer a bunch of beer during my move if it doesnt get drank

I went out in the garage today to put my 32 rails out there and help load my 50 chevy on the trailer for its trip to California. I realized I was out of wd40 so tomorrow Im going to get some more. then I'll soak it.

if not i'll pour some beer on it then use some BRUNT FORCE to break it free.

Wait a minute...no, I don't wish I lived in the QC again. Its nice from may-august, but otherwise, I hated all 20 years of it. Florida is the place to be.

 

Oh come on now Kevin. Atleast when it storms here ALL the houses on the block don't get blown away, usually just a couple (tornado) and we don't have as many OLD people who cant drive and run over motorcyclists daily.

But you do have more girls walking around in Bikinis ALL THE TIME.

But the bugs down there are as big as birds.. blah.

Ok so beer is getting cold, brats are thawing. Filled up the propane and getting my mind right for tomorrow!!

Here is what we got done!








I have hard hearing (Iraq caused it) so I have to wear ear protection and I was laying underneath the frame grinding and wore a face shield.

We went to the local car show dirty as could be!
Onelow34 showed up and we knocked it out. I couldnt get the engine hoist so I had to leave the motor in the frame for the day but everything else came off.

My plan is to keep the frame and buy a roadster body from someone and slap it on this frame!!

Thanks for coming up Onelow (Ty) had a blast and I'll come to your place for the next meet.

id liked to have came, but yesterday was fathers day..so i worked out in the heat onna rental house all day!!!! HAPPY FATHERS DAY TO ME!!!!!LOL
