Help identify these wheels please

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 63CadGuy, Oct 2, 2004.

  1. I bought these wheels and tires today at a swap meet for my '56 g***er project for $45. They're a bit dirty and will take a little work to clean up but I think they'll look good on my car. I was wondering if anyone could tell me who manufactured them?

There you go. Fenton made all kinds of things, including wheels and flathead cast iron headers

  5. They have some wording on the back but it's not any kind of wheel company, I'll try to go out and see exactly what it says and post it, maybe that will trigger something.

  6. I'm with Muttley they are probably Fenton wheels.
If they were magnesium rims and all I'd say they were Indy wheels by Speedwheel. But if they were they would say Speedwheel Indy 500 on the back side.

  7. Alright, here's what they say on the back, 2 words "Shore Dalnevarino" I think. I can't quite back out the first letter and last letter of the second word, but I think this is what it says. Anybody have any idea's.

  8. The outside of the wheel is chrome and the mag spokes look to be alluminum or maybe magnesium, but i can't tell as they look like they were painted.

  9. I was looking through some old Hot Rod magazines from the sixties and saw a few ads for Crager mags and they kind of look like they could be old cragers. Has anyone seen older cragers that looked like this?

  10. I think I found out what wheels these are, if anyone cares. I'm 99.5% sure these are Fenton "Hawks". I saw an ad in a 1965 Hot Rod magazine and they looked identical as far as I can tell, so there you have it, mystery solved and I can start sleeping at night.

  11. Also known as RADERS. That is the origional spelling. M/T also sold the same wheel.

I don't think Radir ever made a dual rib wheel but I'm not positive.

The ones I have are Tri rib and single rib down the middle of the spokes.

Those where a good score though. Magnesium wheels are selling for big bucks lately

Those wheels would look great on my ride. Do you want to sell? They would look great all chromed out. Just a thought. KNUX

    These are early Raders.

  16. Right now I don't want to sell, but if I found a deal on pair of old Raders I would sell these.
