Did you get a tracking number? If it's shipped, it just about HAS to have one. I do the shipping for my company and that is a fact.

I hope this turns out good. They have a great product and maybe this was all a mistake of some kind.

He says he doesnt have one for me. I ask him everytime I call for a tracking #. I can understand, maybe once it got lost in the mail, but twice! No mistakes, just lies! Its been almost 50 days without a radiator.:mad: Im going to give him until Monday if it is not here Im going to find a way to get my money back!!

As noted, good product and looks great in my 53. That said, the excuse he's giving you is the same exact ones he gave me, including giving me a 2 year old tracking number. Just keep calling, you'll get it and will be happy once you receive it. I missed the Round Up due to this issue, but am not happy with the product and over the anger.

    Hello,
I too ordered a radiator back in April, I called and called when I did not get it when I was told I should have it. This went on for @ 6 weeks. Finallay I asked for a refund which he said he had processed but I never saw the refund.
I finally got resolution this week with a refund. Remember that this whole thing started back the end of April 2008.
The radiators from Superior came with good recommendations as to quality and some people I talked to got theirs in @ 1-week from ordering.
Not sure what happened but someone on the HAMB indicated he his welder got hurt.
Well if that's true, then he needs to tell his customers that there will be a delay in shipping and explain what happened because I too thought I had been cheated.

sounds like he has too much work to do and cant keep up. He obviously didn't disappear as people are getting their stuff.

Tracking numbers are available as soon as the part ships. He's B/Sing you all. He's just taking orders in and getting the money to pay for what he is doing right now. Then he strings along the people for a month until he gets another backlog of orders to pay for the older orders... and the cycle repeats. That is what I think is happening.

I see it all the time...

I finally got my radiator after 50 something days and many angry phone calls later. The product was ok in quality, nothing to write home about. The welds seem a little half ***ed. I will not be sending it back though.

I wish I would have read this thread about 3 weeks ago. I've p***ed my second "sceduled delivery date" and after 5 calls today alone I got the "wrong zip code story". I thought somethin was up when after the origional 10 days went by Charlie wouldnt give me a tracking number.

    Here we go.

I bought one off eBay the 17th of April 2010 its now the 29th and no radiator ,talked to Charlie several times got the it must have got lost story, then a new hire sent it parcle post, then I will send another you will have it thursday, then heres a tracking number ,but its a bogus number, and so its been 2 weeks and nuthing ,plus Im only 6 hours away. If it doesnt show up tomorrow Im cancelling Credit card payment on going some where else. Dont understand why they just cant be straight with you.

  12. LOL :D (noobz won't get that one)

Maybe Charlie needs to raise his prices so he can keep up with his business demands... and his demanding customers.

I've seen a few of his... they're a good value for the $

The same product in copper/br*** would be 3-4 times what he charges. Price a Walker once...

People practically **** their pants when we quote a custom built to spec unit that's done in copper br***... but a quality core (looked at copper prices the past five years?) + labor (there's a lot of it) and it add's up quite quickly.

You get what ya' pay for.

Worth waiting for but ya gotta be willing to put up with the ******** now. Years ago it wasn't that way. It's a shame.

Oh yeah, I thought I should mention, my custom made Superior Radiator was install in June of 2002 and current has over 100,000 miles on it and looks as good as the day it was installed.

JDubbya and I were just at Superior radiator this past Tuesday. They're busier than hell and yes I agree that Charlie should be more up front with lead times. It's a great radiator at great prices. I've had 6 made by them and they're all still in service today.

I bought a radiator from them back in february, when it came time for me to put it in my truck a week and a half ago, it wouldnt fit.... MY MISTAKE. My father dropped it off for me, and Charlie made me a complete new radiator, with the dimension change that I needed, for no cost what so ever, and it was done within a weeks time. I am more than happy to say the least. Hopefully the shipping issues that have plagued a couple people on here are taken care of, I would not think that it was purposely done on the companies behalf. Good Luck

Got one for my 47 a few months ago ,took a month but well worth the wait. What are other choices other than five bills cost.Believe word is out about his radiators and he is swamped. $198.00 plus $45.00 ship to me it was worth while.

Interestingly, I met him at a swap meet three weeks ago in Chesterfield Twp. He was handing out business cards and had a couple of his (?) products on display. Visually, the quality appeared superb. After reading this thread, I'm hesitant to do business with him..............

When I was there with Jdubbya this past Tuesday I dropped off a radiator to be made for a 36' Intenational pickup, Basically duplicate the stock radiator including all brackets with an aluminum version. I know that he is swamped at the moment but I'll let everyone know when I get the call to come get the finished radiator.

  23. just looked up their website..the home page right off the bat confuses me..spelling errors and then uses two different dates when they started building them

"Welcome We make direct fit and custom aluminum radiators.and have sence the 80's ask the others how long they have been making aluminum radiators ?

We have been in bissness sence the 50's

We make them in house and cnc cut all the tanks and brackets with our cnc plasma cutter all of our radiators are fully tig welded with no epoxy !"

Okay here is the latest..just when I called the credit card company and they sent a inquiry request to my home to start the proceedings to credit my account, the radiator shows up....AND it is pretty DAMN NICE!!! Exactly what I asked for, correct highth and outlet sizes, tabs in the right places........I dont know what to say. If it would not have taken three months to get here I would be thrilled........flatblackdave

Really surprised to hear all the problems with Superior, Charley built a custom radiator for me from a faxed drawing and it was perfect. I don't remember how long it took to get here but it cools a 460 very well and I am a very satisfied customer.

I was kind of amused as I read this thread seems "Charlie" has varied and continuing problems. I bought a chopped 32 radiator on E bay from him about a year or so ago. I had sent a question explaining it was going in a T with a chopped 32 shell and was ***ured this was what I needed. I got an immediate response and my rad.? showed up in a couple days I wasn't ready to put it in track roadster but a little voice said look at it. I opened the big box and thought wow that seems awfully big. Box inside of box was labeled T Bird yep you guessed it they had sent me a Very well built T Bird radiator. I immediately called Charlie and told them about the problem they were very cordial and said they would send out a pickup order with UPS and replace with the radiator I bought. Long story short it was picked up by next day and within a few days I had the right one. To their credit I was totally impressed with the build quality and have amazed a few folks when I tell them how little it actually cost. Think how much money Charlie could make if these kind of mistakes were eliminated!

I guess I won't take it personally, then . . . When I ordered my radiator for a '59 Vette, he said it was in stock and I would have it the middle of the next week. First lie. I gave it a couple of weeks and started calling. It will be there Monday, I heard. It came back to us, I heard. Here is a made-up tracking number. Here is ANOTHER made up tracking number . . . IT FINALLY arrived and I haven't had the heart to see what the liar sent me . . . He may be running an old school radiator shop, but I would have thought they would have INTEGRITY .. . When I die, I think they'll be able to say I had integrity. They may say he could tig, but they won't say he had integrity .. . . John

I'm glad to see some positive feed back on this outfit. I ordered a radiator on June 11 2013, waited a month, called, was told it was lost in shipment it would be shipped again and here in a week. No radiator yet(July29th). I've called three times, and today was told it went to the wrong address and they had the wrong # to reach me(although I've talked to them three times in the last two months??) I try to give anyone the benefit of the doubt, but am losing faith( not to mention $375.) I told "Charlie today, no radiator by Friday and we gotta look into a cheerful REFUND.A vocal contract is a binding contract as far as I'm concerned- so we shall see.....
