wanted to make it in the 29, but that ain't gonna happen. i'll be doing the final welds today and tomorrow. on the bright side, i'll be throwing it back together next week and get the brakes plumbed. the channel subfloor is pretty much done. everythings fitted and ready to go on the suspension and steering. just dying to make some noise in this crate!!!.

A non-HAMB friendly Thunderbird that will be in the dirt lot :D

Since I joined this site my pick up is being taken much more seriously so its quality and safety comes before rushing it just to get to a show unfortunately.

I'm still close but not quite done. Less than 90 days from the ground up on my truck. Still need...

    Fans wired
    Tail lights wired
    Seats built
Couple of small panels to rough fab in the firewall area
    Little touch up paint done
    Truck weighed to complete registration/title
    Road test

And its wednesday... might be do-able!

Good luck! I had two of my long saved guages come up dead and need replacing at the last minute. I always go fuel cell, new fuel pump and guage from now on.

I just heard back from the glass shop... $165 for the front glass in a 1932 Ford truck. I had already cleaned the frame all up and had it separated even. Robbery!

  13. I've been thrashing on the Hudson.

Decided to change the grille to and Olds floater with a perforated backer...

I also decided to get off my ass and work on the passenger side rocker panel replacement this week. (I did the driver's side last year).

I'll be a work wishing I was over there. work schedule changed and I have to Work weekends. Next year no working weekends for me if I can help it.

Right now I just wish I had something close enough to being on the road that I was out thrashing to be read to go anywhere.

At this rate, I'll be lucky to 'finish' this thing before my wife gives up on me and my daughter goes to college! In other words, I can't make it.

BTW: my daughter is 6 months old!

I'll just take my time and shoot for next year! Craigslist flake bailed on a trade, so my planned new engine is on hold. For now my truck can only put around town. BUT I'll be there in my non-hamb friendly ride in the dirt lot.

Remember to ask the parking lot guys where are the HAMBSTERS parking. They have it set up for us.

  30. Shawn and I are leaving Friday, when he gets back from work, would have liked to leave earlier but not in the cards. The car is really looking great, I dig the Olds grille. I just can't get my myself mess with my 49 Coupe. Going to finish painting the rear panel on my 62 Merc
