If I parked my ride in one of those deals I would make sure the security was great.............

I am sure the experts have thought of this but I was curious as to checking codes of folks that entered...........I have only used one of these places once to store a 70 International and trailer for a few weeks.......some one came in and smashed the drivers window to get in.... just an old truck with a towing chain in it........these guys came over the fence where a camper was backed up to it... just crawled right over ..

anyway maybe they could check the codes that were entered, I know that some come in quick after another guy has entered, I pissed off a guy one time because I waited for the gate to close before I moved out of the way..

I also would consider installing one of those security gps tracker things on my ride if I had to leave it out of my garage, I forget what they are called... seems like they help the police a lot tracking stolen equipment..

    I hope it is found..

It looks like an inside job to me! How did the robbers know you have a old cl***ic car and tools, also took them an hour to do the job? They also weren't discreet about it!

Thanks! Appologize for thinking about that...

Here'a a picture from the link above:

I've been kind of paranoid the last few years. I watch who's following me, and I go down the wrong street to take the long way home. I just don't want them to know where I park for the night :p

I agree. Its BS that criminals seem to have more rights the others. Perhaps the prison systems should do a yearly house cleaning.

so they got a picture of the (or a) suspect, his vehicle..or vehicles..looks like he had help.
disturbing trend i have noticed from a few of these stolen trailer and car deals..A white Dodge Ram Pick up truck.at the scene.(theft ring?) semi professional?

with all the video , and possible date and gate code..why the hell is this so hard for the local LEO to get something done on this with in days of the crime?

looks like a licence plate on the front of that truck..what !! do i have to do the cops job for them too?
    wake up man

Ya know that's funny... we had some drunk plow into a car in front of the house accross the street and spun around, i ran outside and the ******* was now coming back through my yard with his hood smashed up into his windshield.... cops got there and said they could not find him and my wife said why don't you follow the fluids leaking from my yard and going down the street...the cop said it would not work, my said said why don't you try....10 minutes later they found the house and the truck was in his backyard.....amazing huh

That's not paranoia, they really are out to get you/your stuff.
I think it's a good idea to use a fake name for car shows. People who know you will understand, and those who don't may not be able to figure out how to find you.

I find it amazing that such unmistakable cars get stolen. How do they make it out of town without someone spotting it? Anytime I see an old car on a trailer I snap a photo of it with my camera phone.....just in case.

Wow what a beautiful delivery. I hope there's still a chance of getting it back.

I finally got to speak to someone today.
Lieutenant Dan Roehrig, that's right, Lieutenant Dan ( in my best Forrest Gump voice):D.
He said they were working on a couple leads and not much else, I still hope they find this douche bag.

I wouldn't doubt that that Dodge was stolen but has anyone tried to blow up the plate to see if it is readable?

With an open trailer I don't think they would have carried that delivery very far unless they took it somewhere and transferred it to an enclosed trailer.

Agreed that a delivery is a stupid choice of a car to steal, but it looked very nice and if the theives know someone that will buy nice cars then it dosen't matter.

I do feel bad for the guy, and just hope the theives wind up in a slow painfull death very soon. That I would pay to watch.

If there is a video of the whole thing going down and the police still can't solve the case, it seems to me that the current state of affairs in law enforcement is simply pathetic.

Does law enforcement STILL not have a vehicle search by description database??? If you consider the production numbers and narrow down by model, body style, color, sport package..etc...etc....that shows in the pics, the numbers in the entire DFW area should be easy to investigate.

I think that the time is long overdue that the American citizens stop accepting the excuses of inability to fight crime as "the way it is".

  22. Was it not a white Dodge 4 door that stole that enclosed trailer with the Altered and all that primo drag gear last month in Texas? They have that one on video also. I cant seem to find the posting on it now. But it was in a parking ramp kind of arrangement.

Funny,on the cop shows on tv,they blow the picture up to read a plate number,no problem. When our local barney fifes are asked to do their job, they run around like the keystone cops.Makes you wish someone would steal something that they loved. If you steal my stuff,i'll track you myself and KILL YA.

  26. yep. Be sure to plant a gun in the dead ****ers hands too. Self defense.

  27. Sounds like someone watches The Shield.

I have to think if I were insane enough to steal someone's car by towing it away, I would steal a set of plates to hang on my truck while I was hauling it, though. Or steal a haul vehicle too.

Cops are usually overworked and underpaid and after a while they can grow numb to the stuff, what with all the killings and ****s and stuff they have to solve suddenly a stolen car isn't that high on the priority list. That's not necessarily right, but it is what it is.

  28. After stabbing them in both knee caps six inchs deep with a ice pick, we make the sum*****es bite into a high speed grinding wheel. Then we punsih them really bad.

As much blood (literally), sweat, tears and money I put into my rod, that's what I would if i caught the sum*****es who stole it. But, then again, that's just my thinking.

  29. I've printed this and the van's photo. I will post copies of it at some local restaurants where folks like us eat. I suggest others especially in the Garland, Tx. area do the same. More than likely the guy in the photo is from around there and he does't look very Mexican. One thing about thieves is that they usually are blantant and kinda stupid in a way. Forget the cops. 2 years ago my daughter had a huge new pontoon boat stollen out of storage in Mesquite, TX. A white doolie with men and license plate clearly displayed. Even with that info. the cops wouldn't follow up. I think the *******s were afraid. While living in Grand Prairie, Tx. I happened to come home unexpectedly on my lunch break and found two guys in my house stealing stuff. One got away but I nailed the other one and took his wallet off him before he got away too. It had his DRIVER'S LICENSE IN IT. Once again, the cops did nothing. Sorry to tell you this but so much stuff gets stolen in these border states now that the cops are overwhelmed with reports. We have to do our own detective work if we ever expect to recover stuff. And I've had so many friends loose stuff in these storage places that I'm sure that the people who run them are often involved. The perfect timing of these events is the give away.
