picked up this manifold today. when you compare it with the polished edmunds it is similar but the carb b***es are a good 1/2 inch higher and the accessory holes are a little different.did edmunds copy this or visa versa.it does not look like there was ever name on the unpolished one.did anyone else produce this manifold?thanks chris
Your just ******* in my face! Compare the angle of the head mating faces, Old's ones look very similar.
i KNOW they both fit lincoln y blocks!just wondering if it is edmunds or did someone else make this one?
that`s an interesting idea.i wonder if any of the factory cars ran 2 fours.maybe uncle scooby will chime in here.here`s a couple more pictures of the acessory mounting holes.anyone know what was bolted on here ,just below the back carb?
So far as I know, the only "factory" 2x4 intake was for the M335 option, and it is clearly different in appearance from yours...a**** other things the thermostat housing faces forward & not up. The runners are shaped completely different as well. If I had to make a wild guess just on the appearance of your intake, I'd guess Edelbrock...it has some of the characteristics of their older pieces. I see that this has been recently blasted....what did it look like prior to the blasting?
That's where a divorced automatic choke bolts to it. It was intended to be used with a pair of Holley "teapot" carbs, and they used such a choke setup in '54-'55, going to an integral choke in '56. I'd say it's an Edmunds product; he used several different foundries over the years, and I've noticed minor variations in most of his intakes. The "Edmunds" script that was cast in the area between the carburetor flanges wasn't very deep, and could easily be removed during the sanding and polishing procedure.
Hi, I always dream about a dual Carburetor with two small air cleaners. Could anyone tell me where I could find an intake manifold for my ´56 Lincoln Y-Block?
