The 'sock' on the pickup tube in the tank is stopped up.

How about connecting the inlet side of the fuel pump to a small gas can (with gas in it of course) and see if it will run off that, then troubleshoot the lines, tank, and tank strainer. A rusty steel fuel line seeping air will cause a no fuel situation as well as rust in the tank clogging the strainer.

I would disconnect the fuel line at the carb and fill the hose up with fuel, this helps it make vacuum to **** the fuel up. I had to do this for my 49 dodge 230 six.

Time to unhook all of the conections and exercise your air hose. Then when you hook everything back up pressureize the tank from the fill tube and purge out all of the air. Just wrap your air gun with a shop rag and push it into the fill tube to pressureize it. This should force fuel all the way to the carb (unhook the carb fitting before you pressureize the system). After finishing this roll over the engine with the starter and make sure your getting fuel out of the line. It should function correctly if everything checks out.

Oh yea!! Forgot about the beer. If you save the money by purging the system go buy the beer and then you can watch the $$$$' flow down the urinal an hour later. Much better use of the money:rolleyes:
