Wanted to warn those folks that are rolling southbound on I-5 from the north.. be careful around exit (milemarker) 97. there is a new sign that states the area is patroled by camera. They have started putting cameras and radar guns in cop cars and unmarked rides parked on the side of the freeway (they are unmanned). plus there are some construction signs around the area (so fines doubled). speed drops to 55 I think just before.. (speed trap area) a co-working got nailed for 70 or so a few weeks back on the way from Seattle to Portland.. got it in the mail.. he noticed the sign the following week while making the run again... so keep an eye out or slow it down around that area until free of construction (if it is still going on) for a few miles south of that area... See ya at BilletProof Sat...
Yeah keep an eye out for a little white Ford Escape on the shoulder between exit 97 and exit 88, SB or NB. Speed limit is 60 tho. d.
its been on the north bound side the last 2 weeks I drive past it both ways every day, also cops on bikes w/radar just coming into olympia hiding around corners, and Hi boones I meet you and kustombuick at speedweek last year, look for this 53 but in grey epoxy and say hi it has chrome spears in the scoops now also.
Sweet. I'll warn the rest of the pack before we set out Sat AM. Good thing our convoy speed is gonna be maxed out at about 55mph! We may get some hard stares as we glide down the far right lane, but we definitely won't be picking up any tickets!!
Ha, me too. Chances are, they'd take a pic of the front of my rig, and there's no plate on the front. The rear plate is nearly unreadable because its an original plate thats unrestored...
I was just curious, does it take a picture of you hitting the camera with a bat. I would never do that, but.................
I'd smash the hell out of that speed camera car but they move it at night so nothing happens to it. Something tells me that thing has cameras that watch all the way around the car to protect it from what would happen to it in this area. Traffic lights in the Olympia area also have cameras on them now too in some spots, can't get away with anything anymore I guess.
It looked like a Washington State Patrol convention going on, south of Tacoma, on I-5 this morning. The traffic was moving between 70 and 80 north of Tacoma, then Tacoma south there were more cops than I have ever seen on that section of road.
jusst spray your plate with PHOTO Blocker.....I didnt think it workrd but when I was out takin pics for another thread today I notices you cant read the plate where I sprayed it...damn guess it was worth the $20.and no I dont know the people just bought their stuff
