I finally finished the 1939 Plymouth P7 I have been working on for the past year. I have been driving it almost daily for the last two months and it has been a real pleasure. I created a website documenting what Ive done to it: http://1939plymouth.com <O</O Much of what I have learned during this project, and about cars in general, has come from this forum and I want to share my experiences so others may benefit as I have. Below are a few pictures and the rest are on the website.<O</O <O</O Thanks<O</O Brett<O
Very nice coupe. So is the exhaust note on the site from this car? Hope you can get some video of it up. Would like to see and hear it running. Great job.
'Looks great, glad to see that hopped up flattie under the hood. Good luck with your new ride. Dave '39 Plymouth Business coupe, hopped-up Dodge flat 6 power '46 Same
great job , also enjoyed your site.. wish I had that little Plymouth here in Tx.. I almost bought one a few yrs ago,
Brett; I just read the Biography section on your web site. It makes me proud to be an inspiration for your build and I am sure my ARCH RACE RIVAL and good friend blueskies will have the same thoughts. I personally met Paul Curtis a couple years back and discovered his design was not the same as what I did on the T-5. I made a comment on another forum a few months back that I had not talked to anyone who was actually running a Curtis T-5 conversion. Looks like you are the first one I have talked to who is doing so. And it appears you have had a problem with the extended pilot bushing device. Good to hear you have resolved this issue and good to hear you have a dependable daily driver. I may look you up later this year as I have a 2 week work assignment in Miami coming up. Very sharp looking car!
Beautiful car! Man thats a sharp ride, I can't seem to get the link to pull up I'd like to read the story behind it.
Thanks guys. I really appreciate all of your positive remarks and feedback. That's a good idea. Thanks Don, it's nice to finally communicate with you. I'm about 2 hours north of Miami but that doesn't mean we couldn't meet somewhere. I went with the conversion rings because of the built in parking light bulb. I use the bulb as a turn signal and use Ron Francis super bright amber dual filament bulbs. I wired both filaments to the turn signals and they are quite functional. I had one bulb burn out after two weeks but ron francis sent a replacement no question asked. I think they have a one year warranty.
