This pair of Merc's were amazing and they both belong to the same family. The green one was purchased wrecked in 1957. The owner worked for Ford in the parts dept. for almost 40 years and was able to restore the car with new Ford parts. I also understood that when Ford would phase out Mercury parts he would stockpile them - it has an amazing amount of perfect chrome trim. The car served as the family car for several years. It was also wrecked again the day JFK was ***asinated. It was originally turquoise and now belongs to the son of the 1957 owner. He obtained the car while in high school in order to work his paper route. He's now in his mid-fifties.

The burgundy one was purchased from another Ford employee in the mid-seventies.

The cruise tonight was great. Fun to see all the cars rolling through the historic downtown.

Anyone know if the owner of the red & white Ranchero is on the board?
