Well what i have is a 63 ford falcon with the stock 170ci and planning to swap it for a 68-69 (date on the casting) 200ci,swaping it because the 170 needs a rebuild and dont have the time or cash to do it and have the 200 readily available.my question is will the later mounts for the 200 line up in the engine compartment?im getting a lot of mixed answers about this.also if it will bolt to the orig. ford-o-matic,it does not have the later v-8 bell bolt pattern, again getting a bunch of yes and no's.if anyone has any info about this or anything to look out for,ANY INFO IS MUCH APPRECIATED as im not familiar with the inlines and need to get this thing done for my little lady..thanks....max

I did it years ago and didn't have any major problems.

Everything should fall right in and bolt up . The 200 was just 30 more cubes than the 170 and were basically the same !

Use the stock mounts from the 170 , should work .
To make your trans rod works , take a coat hanger and use that to bend up so you don't ruin the real trans rod ! Makes things a lot easier ! As for the gas pedal use the same method also or convert to cable .
