Quite a while ago KIRK put out a challenge to all HAMBers attending a Goodguys event to participate in the autocross. Well, that challenge motivated me to get my carburetor problems sorted out (Thanks to Uncle Max) and a couple of other little things to make my car a little more autocross-able. I missed out on the Nashville event last year, so this year's Nashville show was my first chance to take KIRK up on that challenge, and here's photographic proof. (Shot by my wife, HOTRODCHICK) My times are not important 'cause that ain't no Lotus 7 I'm driving and it really didn't like what I was trying to make it do. What does count is this was a lot of fun and it was the highlight of my weekend. So,there you go KIRK! I did it! I had fun doing it, and it's all your fault! Thanks man.
Yeah, thanks KIRK! It was fun, and I enjoyed watching. Some of the others who ran that Autocross were really pushing their cars hard. I heard one guy crashed! Now, I'd like to know how much slower I would've been then 2002P51 if we'd had the Mercury Coupe there. That would be fun to try. Maybe next time?
Autocross is the most fun you can have with your clothes on. The course was fast in Nashville and we had a blast.
