What's the third character in the serial number? That indicates the ***embly plant. If it's an A (Atlanta) my father leaded the seams on it. He worked at the Atlanta plant '52-'82. He spent most of his years in the paint department, but he was grinding lead in '55. I think he moved to paint about '58 or '59. Ozelle the '55 Ford that my parents bought new is the same body style and trim as yours, mine has the 3 on the tree. In '55, Daddy still thought that automatic transmissions were a p***ing fad, and he didn't trust them. Though Daddy worked at the Atlanta plant, the '55 was built at the Memphis plant (3rd character of serial number is an M)
