DIY Mustang suspension specs & dimensions

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by van's rod shop, Jun 29, 2009.

  1. Has anyone got the specs and dimensions for mustang IFS? I want to build my own for a car that doesn't fit in the ready made catagory. I'd like to find all of the data I can get so I can make a crossmember and hang it properly for ride hight, rack positioning, upper, lower A-arm angles and such. Also I wouldn't mind hearing about hybrid suspensions such as older torsion bar lwers with other upper and spindle combos. I'd like to air bag this ride as well. I don't want to spend a bunch of $$$ to buy a kit that won't work.

  2. I'd like to make one for my Falcon/Ranchero, too.

sgtlethargic, there is a company called rod andcustom motorsports that makes a nice MII crossmember for your ranchero.

first off, yes. i do believe steve would have all the measurements on hand

second, he's a genius with suspension geometry and fabrication, and he'll tell you the same thing i am going to right now... the dakota is a better setup than the MII...
