I like the art, so would that be "**** start" racing or is she just paying homage to the volcano? haha

yes there are... your car/bike will have to p*** a basic safety tech inspection. i'll have the requirements soon. But basic stuff, catch can for radiator overflow, seat belts, helmets for open cars and bikes... that short of thing.

It wont be a free for all, but its not a full NHRA inspection either.

    Old school mini-bikes only...

    basic guidelines:

Pull start 4 stroke edger/lawn mower motor, 5hp
centrifugal clutch only, no shifters, no clutch lever
    no modern chinese **** scooters
no vespas, ysr's, xr50's and the like...

    you know a MINI-BIKE.

Dont over think this too much. Just get/build a mini-bike and come have a good time.

Wear a costume for extra style points. Evel Knievel, Gorilla suits, Captain Kaos... you get the idea.

Just a couple of notes on the track:

Its VERY rustic. Its a paved track with a starting line and thats about it. Dirt pits, dirt return road, dirt/gr*** spectator area, the only power is from a genny and its just enough to run the timing shack and a PA. It might get windy, it might get dusty. We'll run the water trucks as much as possible to keep the dust down. There will be porta-potties.

Dirt camping is available. There is a strict "No Engines After 10pm" rule at the track. It may look like its out in the middle of nowhere, but there are hosues within earshot. If they call the police because some jack*** is revving his engine or doing burnouts the police will come and kick everyone off the property, with my blessing. This will also threaten the exsistance of the track itself. I'm asking that everyone camping self police this one. It could not only threaten the event, but the track. There will be PLENTY of time to rev engines, burnout and race on Sunday. Save it for then.

On sunday you will need to bring your own shade, your own seat and your own water. We will likely have a food vendor or two on site (think roach coach).

You will also need to bring your willingness to have a good time. This is all about getting to run your cars on a track. Its not going to be a heavily organized, sanctioned event. Its about lining up next to another car and throwing down. No bracket racing, heads up only. We'll likely start elimination rounds later in the day, depending on how many cars show up and if ya'll want to do that. If not, we can just keep doing laps.

At noon or so we'll have Mini-Bike Madness.

I will have a small number of select vendors on site. I'll bring in a band to play, and will have tunes on the PA all day.

This is down and dirty drag racing folks. As real as it gets. This will not be a big time nostalgia drag race "show". Its going to be just hot rods and customs lining up and charging down the track, talking smack and having a good time.

The track will be ours, we can do pretty much as we please. There will be some basic safety rules. Anyone doing anything stupid of dangerous will be asked to leave. In short, dont screw it up. This is absolutely PERFECT. We have a track all to ourselves, where we can do what we want, with a willing and excited owner and manager. Screw up and we wont be invited back, and make no mistake, we are there at the pleasure of the owner, its a private track.

    I cant wait. :D

I'll have registration up on the Billetproof website by the end of this week.
