Here are a few pics I took today at the Nostalgia Nationals held in the UK. This event caters for all sorts from traditional rods through muscle cars and various dragsters, altereds doorslammers etc. Unfortunately the battery died on my camera so I missed a load of fantastic cars. Here's what I did manage to capture.
wish we could have been there but the brakes on the roadster where just not up to it all! Just got a new set from paul at duksville wednesday n all.
Some more pics on this link... http://www.rodsnsods.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=2515 This 34 was simply awesome. Touch of the mooneyham/sharps!
Gav, Thanks for the pictures, my bloody camera packed up only got a couple pictures meself, so THANKS again! Nick.
No problem mate. Cant believe mine went on me, there was so much more I wanted to capture too! Good job other people have done it for us! We can fix hot rods but cant work fuckin cameras! ha ha
Cheers bud. Got caught in the mother of all down pours on the way home. It leaks like a sieve though the screen and doors! I got soaked, may aswell have been driving a roadster! When do I get to have a look round yours?
I wish you guys would post pics of British cars, we see plenty of deuces and model As. Thanks for the pics anyhow.
Me and mercurial got caught in the down pour too, a tad dryer in his F100 and as for my Coupe hopefully next year, but then I have been sayin' that for a couple of years now!!!! Nick.
It's called the Shedster and was built by a guy called Odgie over here who is more used to building motorbikes. It was built for very little money and is more of a special than a hot rod and uses a mixture of Ford popular and 100e parts along with a whole ton of ingenuity and hand made one off components. Clever guy. It's fully legal and he drives the shit out of it. Here is a link to the build up pics...(click on 'shedster' albums) http://picasaweb.google.co.uk/odgie633 Here is a cool pic with the matching trailer and one of Odgies bikes.
There were plenty of nice British based cars although not all of them were HAMB friendly and of course my battery dying didn't help. This one is British though, as is the Shedster above.
It is mate yes. The body was all that was left and was in a pretty bad way. Some don't like what Spock, who built it, has done to the old girl but there was no way of putting it back to it's earlier guise. I love it. It has been given a whole new lease of life and he drives the crap out of it!
Wow, yeah the body looks about the same but the old Daimler's gone and the flake paint job, what kinda engine is it running now?
I think it is Nads...there was a whole shit storm when it was shown like that following its 'rebirth' Cool pics, thanks for sharing.
I think its' running a Rover 'K' series engine, but I could be wrong, it has a Dodge valve cover onit that I am sure of !!!!! Nick.
Yep Rover motor from a metro I believe! John (Spock) used to work for them. He has done a good job of trying to disguise it. Good enough for 16 second quarters. Not too shabby.
