1950 mercury cpe & Ford pickup rear axel

i want to keep the 5 1/2 inch bolt circle. will a rear end from a ford pick-up truck be suitable as a replacement for my 1950 mercury coupe?. any idea of what years would be the correct width? thanks. answer here or imalan99@aol.com or toll free 877-277-9895 thanks, alan

 

a 72 and lower f100 9" fits just fine.

 

I had a '61 in my '50 years ago. Had to re-weld the spring perches though.
