Event Coverage **2nd Annual, The INVASION!!! Sept. 5th 2009 Dallas, Tx - Registration is open!**

Thats right...the coolest show in Dallas, Texas (PnP is in Denton, haha!) is back for another year! We've ironed out a few of the big details and are ready to get started.

Whats going on?
Traditional hot rod, custom, and bike show! You know the drill. We'll have bands at the show, vendors selling cool stuff, pin up girls, etc. Still nailing down a lot of those details and we will announce everything else as soon as possible! The whole street is lined with excellent restaurants and a couple bars so there is plenty to walk around and see.

When is it?
September 5th! That is labor day weekend, so you'll all have an extra day to recuperate after having an awesome time.

Where is it?
Same place as last year! 2700 Commerce St., in historic Deep Ellum. But this time we're shutting down a LOT more of the street and will have more room for cars. We'll still have the big lot too!

The big news....afterparty at TREES! Dallas people know Trees, it used to be huge. The new owner is re-opening the place and we're hoping to announce the band lineup for Saturday night as soon as we can. There will also be a pre-party friday night, location TBA. So all you folks coming from out of town will have plenty to do, go ahead and get those hotel rooms booked!

Yes, there are many BIG exciting things we are working on as you read this to bring to the show but are not completely ironed out yet.......... but, we wanted to announce the date offically and get the ball rolling.............

Why Labor Day Weekend?
This was a really great first show last year---guess I'll have to look at juggling my schedule (already double booked for Labor Day)

Seriously, we know that is going to be a weekend some people might already have plans for. But we all kinda thought about it and none of us ever do anything for Labor day anyway. And being a 3 day weekend, there's plenty of time to relax, or time to drive home for those who traveled.

Plus there is a lot going on in September, be it car shows or things in our personal lives. So it was the best compromise we could make. I hope it works out well for everyone! Last year's show was on the 6th, so it wont always be on "Labor Day weekend," but probably just the 1st weekend in September.

 

We really hope you can make it Marcy...... this year it WILL be twice the show it was last year!!!!

 

maybe the comet will make it out. if not ill still ride out. good job with having shows in dallas.

It was a GREAT first show last year, cannot wait to come back this year!

x 3 !!! I'll already be in Colorado for grad school. Just look at all the cool things I'll be missing out on in Texas. Who knows... maybe next year I'll be able to convince some Denver rodders to drive down. It's a breeze of a drive at 12 hours.

 

i think my "rat rod" will be driving in time for this one! ha ha ha

 

Oh, I'll be there......just means I'll be have to break prior commitments.

It would be perty rad if the hill country locals that make it to the Invasion could make it to the biggest little demolition derby in Spicewood on the 12th, which I should be wheelin' my beater in. Hey, it's not limited to just the locals, ha.

Yep yep, good times had by all & both venues, for sure. Can't wait to head north.
