    thanks,

    I've found several pictures,
but without the stock water pump..

looks to me like a snout for an SBC and snout mounted idler would work

like in this clip, kinda looks like maybe on a '63 or '64 motor?

how about a picture of the Catallo Coupe's motor

or the Stone Woods Cook ?

I think they both had stock water pumps on them..

That whole thing is stuffed under the hood of a 1948 Olds woodie wagon
and it is built to have that "It came from the factory like that" look.

Pics really dont do it justice

now that the 4-71 blown 303 is putting right along
I thought I'd maybe start puting a bigger blown motor together
'just picked up a 6-71 manifold and will be looking for the rest of the bits and pieces as I can afford them
the manifold is a Weiand and looks like it will need some 1/4" spaces to get it to line up right for the 394..

thanks for the pictures so far- they've been very helpful!

    ok,
played some mix and match out in the garage
to see if I could get my new manifold to fit without spacers

here's the first combo of block and heads for this manifold that looks like a winner
'57 371 block for deck height with '59 371 heads for the big intake ports..

might mean that the 394 heads will work too
but all my '94 heads are bolted down right now

Paul http://hamptonblowers.com/ says he makes kits for 49-up Olds you might just want to give him a call and find out some measurements. I've talked to him before and he was helpful on figuring out my blown 324. Worth a shot.

thanks, I'll give him a call

looking again at the Stone Woods Cook picture I posted above,
the heads look like the same vintage as the ones I have my manifold set on,
five bolt cover, two bolt center exhaust flange...hmm...

Paul Weiand also designated their 671 manifolds with a year or prefix stamping up front by the casting WO 671 mine is a 57 but was milled in the day for a 324. A code 303 B code 324 C code 371 D code 394 but yours might have a year stamping like mine. My snout is a 3.5" Isky and it will work with stock pump location. 2" Gilmer.

Hmmm...I think i'll follow along with this thread.
I have a 303 that's already been punched to 324 that i've toyed with letting to....and i also have a GMC 6-71 blower that's been converted to gas and was run on a sbc...
seeing as the Olds motor needs to be rebuilt, again...maybe.......
Cool post guy's..seriously. Those motors look GREAT!

Paul there are some water ports you can have trouble with when putting 394 heads on a 371 if your not careful
Give me a call and I can advise

yes, but it has a Potvin setup, with a crank drive 6-71 monted in front of the motor

mine does have a B stamped at the back between the WEIAND and WO671

but it's too wide for the 324 bolt holes to line up,
and the ports are too big to cover the 324 head's ports..

    got one step closer today,
    got the blower itself
now I can measure for the drive stuff

I think I will go with the early 371 block and late 371 heads in the A Roadster but,
just to see what it looks like
here it is sitting on a late 394 with a couple Edelbrocks resting up top in the Coupe
