I'm sorry it is just a link but it is well worth clicking... I will not give you any other spoilers other than it is a true american car story ... and it put a smile on my face. Hope it does the same for you. http://bitsandpieces.us/2009/06/30/540000-miles-and-still-going-strong/
I'll delete it. I do not often visit the HAMB> Thanks for the heads up... I'm sure glad I got to see it. Seems I was right in assuming others here would as well since it has been on many times.
I first met Rachel at the Turkey rod run waiting to circle the Daytona Speedway in her chariot. That was about 12 years ago. I have a letter from her on my desk and glad to hear she is still doing well. She is the epitome of a lady and she was a parliamentarian so she kept us straight.
That's neat to hear. As I first said this is the first time I had seen the clip and I was just thrilled. Think about how much money she has saved in her life time. Even buying the extended warrantees has got to have saved her in the long run. I'd love to know exactly how much she has spent over all. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
Ya, I said it a couple weeks ago when another HAMBer posted this video, and i'll say it again, there needs to be woman around like her! Definately from an era far gone!
1964. Wasn't that about when Merc ran a handful of Comets "100,00 miles at 100+ MPH" for publicity? One of them had a valve spring replaced during the run. The rest sailed right along.
Hell, judging by that interview, I'd say she might roll you pretty good right now. And doesn't say how she got rid of those 3 husbands, but personally wouldn't want to chance it with that heat in the purse. That back seat might have seen more action than the front. Probably why she got the 4 door instead of the convert. or sport coupe.
