long story short, I went off the school and the '52 F2 I had went to the s****per behind my back. So today I found the ***le for it but I dont have the vin plate considering it was on the truck. Is the ***le worth anything? Just though I'd check before I tossed it.
Drop an ad in the cl***ifieds, 1952 f2 ***le ·*$50 shipped.... that'll let you know if it's worth anything!
Lots of "historical do***ent" collectors out there. Popular vehical paper work brings more money, but $75-150 is probably not out of line. Gene
here's what you do with it.......... fold it up really nice then stick it in your shoe, then shove your whole foot up the **** of whoever s****ped your truck.
the way I got it figured an old ***le is only good if it is current and in your name. I sold a Model A ***le I got with a T bucket for $350.00. it was a current ***le.. had black and yellow California plates ***igned to it but when I bought the car we couldn't find them.
I wouldn't part with it if it had my name on it. If someone uses it to register a car down the road it could come back to you, and while I doubt you could be arrested or anything, it probably will be a h***le you don't need.
Great question! I just found two myself and was wondering the same thing. I have read in Hemmings etc. of ***les for sale, but I feel like rustynewyorker, if it can possibly be a h***le I will forgo the $$ and just burn em up in the fireplace this winter. Are there any legal minds here that can fill us in?
If it doesn't have your name on it, if you want to sell it just take cash and no names or reciepts. Have to think if that was mine I'd report it stolen and press charges, even if my own parents s****ped it.
It is illegal to buy or sell a ***le to a vehicle. It's a gray area if you're selling it as a "historical do***ent" so don't get caught in the process. Your ***le is worth about $125 if it's for a half ton pickup. Not having the VIN plate makes no difference. There can be no liability on your part because you sold your truck project with good ***le to someone. That's your story and you'd better stick to it.
