Many of you know my journey from Wisconsin to Texas the good the bad the ugly..... etc etc.... Thank you to all of my friends and family who have supported me through all of this. It seems though with the amount of hipe that surrounds The Austin Speed Shop...... the big round up party...... the Jesse factor..... the change of hands and people who have been through this place....... Its a bit confusing. I'm confused sometimes... haha What happens at that place? People come up to me all the time and ask if I rent space there.... huh? So anyway here it is..... the best I know. I just want to make it clear that we are more than just a Hat Shop. The shop is owned By a few partners that all have the same goal...... basically to build really really nice cars. Each partner has a role in making this place what it is and they all care deeply about it..... They have made a special place. I can't even believe the opportunity I have been given, thank you. Sometimes we have to put up with distractions........
I dont get it. I see some cardboard with a japanese flag on it. You should be ashamed! Atleast scratch it out and draw an american flag on it!
in the begining, there was the word... and the word was with him... and the word was him... and when he got bored, he put a hemi in it...
actually it does in many ways resemble the Imperial Japanese Armed Forces Battle Flag used druing WW II. Although the actual flag had the rising sun offset to the left and the rays splayed accordingly rather than the centered version in the Photo.
The shop is made up of the coolest guys ever....... Todd Gravelle has been here for about a year and I am glad. He pretty much fucking rules. His chevy is one of the greatest EVER. He came on the tale end of us putting together Skips truck.... and made it happen... He saved our ass for sure... Now he's building a 50 Cosmo....... it is at paint so look for it soon..... Soon he will start on this zephyr....... its a rough one..... but he can handle it. I can't wait to see what it becomes.....
Problem is that its the first thing that comes to mind. Kinda a weird thing to be even semi associated with because of the innuendo factors of everyones logos now days having hidden meanings. I recognized it as a japanese battle flag from WWII immediately. Remember the movie Tora, Tora, Tora?-Weeks
