Hi, I'm probably about to get flamed for this but I'll be up front. I'm an alcoholic..... Sorry no I mean I'm a VW owner. I have a history with VW's and have always been into Rods and Kustoms thanks to my Brother (Swedesled66 on here) This is my '63 Ghia as I bought it: This is what it looks like at present: I tend to spend my time working out how to get my cars lower as I'm not keen on Donks. But I also spend a lot of time taking the piss out of my brother as it's like shooting fish in a barrel
Hi Craig...Nice Razor BTW! I cut my teeth on VWs and have since moved on. Caught the BUG ('scuse the pun!) attending the VWDRC racing at the 'Pod'. I wouldn't mind an early Type 1 Ghia 'vert, if I could afford one! Welcome to the HAMB.
Wow! A type 3 Ghia. Those were never sold in USA. I've dealt with VW's since 1968 & I have seen only 2 or 3 of them. Those & the type #3 notchbacks here were mostly brought back from Germany by servicemen stationed there.
Thanks Guys. Despite my Ghia now being here in the UK it has done a trip across the states as it was owned by Bob from BBT and when he opened BBT-US he shipped a few cars over to the states for an opening tour. It's funny that the type34 was not sold in the states but all the good bits are out there now.
