What started out as a nonsense thread to me, has turned pretty cool in my opinion with the "work" shots of trucks...Thanks for sharing everyone..

I love seeing this stuff. I was gonna use my dads 1964 c10 to haul 1000 lbs of sand the other day. Used my 53 willys jeep instead. I saw a "workin' trucks" thread somewhere. Maybe here. Its cool to see those photos.

Don't understand how I ever got by without a truck. My '41 pickup got to make a run to the dump and a fetch-daughter's-stuff run this week. No pics; didn't think it very remarkable at the time.

Here's my daily driven F-1 taking my modified roadster parts to a friend's shop while we were building the frame.

It has also hauled a bed full of mulch, top soil in addition to being my work truck for my parttime carpentry business.

Hauled my 31 body around in my F1 quite awhile when I had no where else to put it. Found out it causes traffic problems on the highway when you haul an engine with speed parts on it uncovered in the bed.

Now this is a thread with a purpose. The purpose being, Hot rods whether car OR truck should be more than garage ornaments waiting for some kind of "special event" to be used. Get them out, enjoy them, on a REGULAR basis.
When the snow if off the road my '32 gets driven almost daily. When the wife wants a gallon of milk I might make two trip, getting a half gallon each trip (in opposite directions). Now that I've got Harrison's old '38 back on the road I find myself just taking off to see who might be home (secretely hoping no one is:D) and just driving around for an hour or two. Being retired makes it even better as a quick hot rod ride helps ease the tension of an eventless day.

Taking one of these thing's out even when your not retired help's ease the tension..
I don't think i've ever come across anything that clears my mind like a ride in an old car..And i've found this truck to be the best one yet for me..
Thanks again for the photos and story's guy's. I really did not think this thread was anything more than me killing some time and posting pointless pics..
    very cool.

Here's another cell phone pic from when it was loaded with with a ton of parts for the build of that 32 body..I wanted to move this stuff as well..Not a lot of room where i work on my stuff and i was making it worse daily.

I took my 40 p/u to Home Depot to buy fence material. People were laughing at me. Saying, "looks like you need to invest in a new truck... ruh ruh ruh!" Oh well, who cares what they think anyways!

Hey Cafone (is that how you say "car phone" in Pa?) - I paid $200 for my '48 Binder and used it as my daily driver for 3 years, then pulled the hot small block out of my hot rod and loaded it into the '48's bed and drove 1,750 miles from Kansas to Oregon (mostly on the shoulder of the road - top speed 45 MPH) and sold the engine to a stock car racer for enough money to pay for the trip. Probably not a great accomplishment, but you gotta admit, it makes for a really long sentence...
