I have a french gentleman bid on my truck on that "E" place, and I cancelled his bid asap and sent him a pretty harsh email calling him a scammer...LOL Needless to say he emails me and says he has an american company that will pay for it, pick it up, ship it, the works...I call B.S. and tell him to have them contact me....well...they did. sent me an email with a telephone number, and a link to www.americancarsandparts.com I looked and it appears ligit, googled them and they are listed in many places in several languages as an arranger of international shipping. I'm still worried about getting screwed so I'm leery, anyone in Europe or the US have any dealings with them? Thanks, Scot
trust your gut, I got outta the E-pay game before the rules got too bad, I heard a rumor that they tie your money up and dont release it until the buyer leaves positive feedback... In my mind that leaves the door open for all sorts of scammers... If your gut tells ya no....follow through with it.
whats to worry deposit money/check when all clears release vehicle. i buyer doesn't wan't to wait its a scam. a legit buyer will wait.
Salty, IF I was to go through with the deal it would be exactly as posted, American fnds from this shipper only, cashed, sitting in my bank, then release the truck. like I said, i'm not convinced yet...LOL Funny thing is I threw the truck on there on a whim, I'm sure most of you have seen my truck for sale on here at one time or another, I really want to build an A coupe, but I like the truck so much I'm just not 100% convinced I want to give it up. The hang up is there is no way I can afford to keep it AND build the A, so something has to give and I'm afraid its the pickup. As soon as action got crazy on it after I posted it on "that" place, I had sellers remorse...and it isn't even sold yet...LOL Scot
The way I see it , is that you are not the one taking any risks..the buyer is the one who sends money on a car /truck that he can only judge by the pictures and discription offered. The money is banked before the vehicle is picked up and all the shipping h***les are his not yours...how can he rip you off? I`ve sent quite large amounts of money on trust to people in the US via bank transfer for deuce parts, and believe me it is at this end that the real sweating is done.
Like reefer said the most sweat would be on his side. If you have the money in the bank or in hand before you let the truck go and is picked up by his shipping company wouldnt that be the same as to selling to anyone in us?
