Does anyone know what year Cadillac exhaust manifolds interchange with a 59 Cadillac 390. I need to run exhaust manifolds because of clearance issues and money. The 390 is for my 1950 Chevy pickup. I've seen some hot rods with 331 engines running stock headers but the only ones I can find are ones that don match. Can I use two of one side to make a pair. Do the 331, 365 and 390 engines interchange? Thanks for the help!

I'm pretty sure they all use the same manifold. They are all going to be the same shape so this probably isn't going to fix your problem.

  3. my 54 GMC with a 1955 331. ran stock exhaust manifold, but the stock steering box was moved outward 2 inches

331's and 365's have smaller exhaust ports .

I've seen exhaust manifolds like the ones on a stock 390 the right doesn't match the left. Well I was wondering if there is a particular year that I should look for where both the right and left match whether it be a 331,365, or 390? For example Evels coupe or Sloppyseconds coupe or the Lomas coupe, all these cars are running matching manifolds. Thanks for the help.

they actually are reversable and you just need 2 of the center dumb manifolds Im not sure but I think its the drivers side because the steering box and you just flip it for the p***engers side

So the best thing to do is to get 2 right side manifolds for a 390?

Exactly, they intechange from one side to the other and shouldn't vary to much from the early to late ones, just get a hold of two right side manifolds and you're in business!

I just looked at the manifold on a '49 331 I have and the manifold from my '61 390 I'm putting in the '49 sedanette I own. They are very different in shape from each year to the other and from side to side. The ports on my 390 are much larger than the 331. Hope this will help some.

365 and 390 take the same exhaust manifold gaskets.ports are different from 331's and 365/390's

My circa 1960 390 manifolds have the p***enger side as the center dump, with the chevrons cast in and the genny bracket on. Let me know if you want pics...
