even GM had TV in prototypes in the 1950's, i think harley earl first fitted a tv in 1955 to a cadillac prototype. back then a TV probably cost as much as a car, now you can buy a small B&W TV for $20 the way i see it is most of us intend to take our cars to shows these days, most of us have "showcars". if you are just building your custom to drive to work, do the shopping or a bit of racing then you probably dont want to worry about all the gadgets but with how cheap it is now you might aswell go all out if your car is more for weekends and car shows.
well i have one in the back of my eighties off topic hatchback, built a nice custom fibergl*** piece that fit over the strut plastic covers, then upholstered it.has a ten inch monitor, we use it to play eighties video games when the hatch is open. No play stations or anything like that, I have Pac man and asteroids. takes up no space when the hatch is closed at all. I do like the dial phone handset a few post up.
