stromberg 97 question

    hey this might be a crazy idea but i was wondering if a guy could run a stromberg 97 on a s/b chevy on e85. i dont know how crazy this idea is but i am 16 so i have no idea if it would work or not but i figured i would at least ask.

    NO WAY!
    Those 97 don't flow a lot of air at all, and you need at least 3 of them to feed an average SBC. Add E85 to the mix and you also need to flow a lot more fuel.

    Guys ran them with straight alcohol, though you'll need more than one. A multi carb intake is gonna be required. You can look to need to run 25-30% more fuel with E85 than with regular gas, but it's 110 octane.
