HAMBers, I am looking for a ch***is builder for my 34 Ford PU. I am in Clarksville, TN near Nashville. I have a narrowed Dana w/33 x 22 rear tires, a 354 Hemi, and 727. I will be running a Dropped I-Beam axle. I want a shorter wheelbase than stock.

I know I will get ribbed about not doing it myself, but trust me, I don't have the time to learn (let alone the time to do it myself). Just looking for a quality ch***is that will handle a Hemi.

I know if they are out there they will be on the H.A.M.B.!

    Thanks in advance.

Mark, just drop ship the "Texas Big Bird" and I'll call it a day! Awesome work.

  4. Russ, get in touch with Richard Jones in Nashville. Won't be "cheap", but WILL be done RIGHT ;)
If you were at G-Guys/Nashville this wknd, Richard had the bronze colored 32 5w with the injected hemi on display over in the swap meet area.

Thanks gents! Nice work in the Kennedy shop. I was at the Goodguys show. I had to kinda rush through the swap meet (the best part). My 11 year old daughter was pretty smoked. I don't recall the 5w, but pics would be sweet.

    Thanks again, Russ

You might give Michael Young at Street Rods by Michael in Shelbyville, Tn. a call. He pretty much can do it all.

  13. There's a guy here that's a real artist. He's a small, one man operation and does great work. I don't know if he'd want me to publish his info. If you're still considering options and don't mind driving to Knoxville drop me a PM. It'd be worth the drive.

We am in very south west corner of Michigan, and can arrange a shipping or pickup. We build 33/34 Ford frames and heres a thread on one we just did. They are built to order, exactly as you need. Formed center x-member with oval belled / flared holes, smooth or holed boxing plates, flush or step boxed. Heres a link to a thread...

I went to see Richard Jones Monday morning. What a great guy! He is working on a couple coupes right now. He is covered up right now, and doesn't have a ch***is jig to do the work I require. I wouldn't bat an eye at him working on my rig though. Thanks for the leads HAMBERS.....

I talked to Jason Graham today (jasongrahamhotrods.com) and am pleased to say that he is up to the task, affordable, does awesome work, and is 1 hour from the house. I will be heading that way next week. I will get off the computer chair and get caught up on my build very shortly.

    More to follow.

    Thanks again!

Jason Graham took my pile of parts and got into my head enough to build exactly what I wanted. Check out a few pics in my album.
