Hey you shoebox guys - who's wiring kit did you use when you rewired your car - I'm a shoebox rookie, but I've had several cars in the past -never rewired one though.

i used an ez wiring kit for the shear fact that i had an extra one lying around the shop. but if i were to re wire it i would use a ron francis kit. they are the nicest kits by far and privide for nice clean and tight wiring jobs

I've gotta' give a big thumbs-up to the Ron Francis kit as well. Very easy to use and route, easy to follow directions, every wire marked with words to tell you what it's for and where it's going, it's a well thought out kit.

Only problem we had was the turn signal switch. We wanted to use the original switch, but couldn't get everything to work, so we went with a universal flasher that bolts to the steering column.

    Ford or Chevy?

The reason I ask is if you go with Painless and order a shoebox kit, it is made for 55 - 57 chevys.
