i was there on Saturday. 3000 is a conservative estimate. I didn't take any photos... not one! I was on sensory overload and couldn't do much more than stand around with my mouth hanging open. Lotta nice cars.
I took a few on Friday. I was p***ing thru on my way to WI and stayed about 4 hours.

Saw these cars that belong to famous HAMBER'S, Gary's wagon (Hot rod roadster), Malcolm's well known Fairlane, and the super famous celebrity BobK in his Chevy ragtop. ---

This guy had this old Chevy jalopy drag racer for sale at the small swap meet area. It said it is same condition as last raced in 1961. He fired it up and drove off in it. Damn it was loud and cool.

It was a great turnout for a Friday and I ***ume Saturday was even bigger. Only Hamber I got to talk to was BobK.
Good post P.F., always a treat to see Gary's wagon, Nick's Blue oval, and Bob K's chevy. The Daly's machine tribute 55 Chevy makes me weak in the knees, bad boy deluxe. Looks like it was a super event as usual, hope you have a great trip. Hope to see ya in Salina!! Keep on truckin! ~Sololobo~
Nice photos, Pov! Thanks for sharing. I'll have to get there some day...no excuse I've got inlaw relatives all over that state. In fact, cousin Jeriann Ritter is a weather gal (meteorologist) for the Des Moines NBC affiliate.
I was there on Friday too. I have not been there since 1997. The fair grounds is a great place to have a show. I took a few hundred pics. I finally got to see Garys wagon with paint on it. Great car, as usual for Gary. I think this is the first time I got to see Malcoms car too. Awesome ride. I might have to buy johnnys 62 Merc now.
Paul, Zimm... Thanks for putting up the pic's. Sorry I missed seeing you guys and especially Scott (Stick Shift) I did get the note you left in the wagon. Had a great weekend the weather was really cool for Des Moines. We did have a small meet and greet but I left my camera back in the car. Hopefully someone got some pics. CornCobCoupe put on a great party and feed friday nite open to any hamb'rs at the show. The food and company were great. Again a huge thanks to Cob and his wife. Gary
The ***mins Vette was an interesting deal, I had fun talking to those guys sounds like they've got some interesting diesel projects.

Hey guys kind of off the subject but, we went to the Iowa State Fair every year for many years. We hauled the bulls in the back of a GMC stock truck. Once we got there we unloaded the bulls, cleaned out the cow **** ,put a fresh layer of straw and slept in the back of the stock truck for 5-6 days. Can still smell the cow ****. _____________________________________________________________________ Like I told the kid, "Your music's not too loud, it's just like OKC, it ****s!"
Zimm, thanx for your great pix. Couldn't resist Dan Olson's 37 could ya, it is fab. for sure. Pleased to see our friends Chevy hardtop from Cars-R-Us, Chris and Mindy, who have a premier restoration shop in Omaha!! Seems it was a huge show and "Cobs" party was a good time, Sweet!! ~Sololobo~
Nice to see some Omaha cars in the photos....wish I could have attended but had previous commitments this year.
Thanks for posting the photos. Good to see and put a face with HAMB names last weekend. Thanks COB and Mrs. COB for your hospitality. Work on that garage now will ya? The show was a commercial success for me and I was impressed with the GOODGUYS staff.
Thanks for the pics, guys! It was great to meet a bunch more HAMB members this past weekend - had a great time! Malcolm
