Knoxville from Nats to the track(DRAG BASH)

I'm sure about everyone here knows about Street Rod Nats in Knoxville this coming weekend. I will be there on Friday. But for those that don't know about it there is a Nostalgia drag meet at the local dragstrip (approx. 15 miles from nats.) as well and everyone is welcome to come enjoy the fun Saturday. The gates open at 10 but the showdowns on the track doesn't start until high noon. we usually finish everything up by 5 pm but if there is enough going on later we will stick around later. Bring the kids out for the bike racing and even the smaller ones we have big wheels for them as well. All the bikes and big wheels are supplied by us and the winner of their races gets a real cool prize for their fun on the track.

I'm trying to finish up a few things on my lil' 63 Nova for Drag Bash. I'll head out real early from Nashville Sat. AM or maybe even Friday evening. Weather forecast looks grim.. we dodged the bullet today, rain early and late. Maybe we'll be lucky again tomorrow. I finally got tags and insurance on the Model T today so I may have jinxed us.

 

It's coming a "frog strangler" right now but radar shows it breaking up a little to the West. Cross your fingers... Do they have a "rain date" scheduled?

I spoke with Steve about the rain date Sunday and will try to get my fellow TN poor boys to venture another run to Knoxville. We all had a blast at the 411 Drags and love the racing action-can't wait.

Well the weather gods have frowned on the DRAG BASH yet again. Todays event has been postponed again due to rain. The new date is now July 11th.
I will be making changes to the website as things start to unfold so stay tuned for more info.
